ZAP Slik Aerosol filter Pipet Tips from Labcon combine the higher standard of ZAP filters with our own unique low retention pipet tips. These aerosol tips provide you with complete protection from sample carry-over at the same time they reduce sample retention. Incorporating a robotically inserted 10 µm filter with a sponge-like porous pathway ZAP Slik tips have such a small pore they even block fluids in the unlikely event that you should over-pipet. And our SuperSlik; polypropylene increases the hydrophobicity of tips surfaces so they have up to 10 times less fluid retention. ZAP Slik Aerosol Filter Pipet Tips have been proven in independent studies to block aerosol contamination. But unlike some leading brands of self sealing aerosol resistent pipet tips they have no cellulose gum, toluene solvent, or colored dyes in the filter to mix with and contaminate your sample. Also, unlike self sealing aerosol tips ZAP tips can be autoclaved in a steam autoclave. And ZAP tips will not wick fluids like cellulose filled aerosol resistent tips so you don't have to worry about how you hold your pipettor. Our ZAP tips in sterile racks, like all our other sterile products, receive valid sterilization processing compliant with ISO 11137. So unlike "pre-sterile" tips from other pipet tip suppliers you can use ZAP Slik tips for diagnostic and regulated procedures. And ZAP Slik tips are RoHS compliant, unlike other low retention tips, so you don't have to worry that additives will migrate into your sample.
